Korea, Land of Destiny!

A Vision

I and my family came to Korea five years ago in 2005. When the plane was touching down in Incheon Airport, I saw a vision of a beautiful woman in a white dress and white robe with long, flowing sleeves. She was twirling in a beautiful dance with her arms outstretched. Then, from out of Heaven, Jesus came dancing down, also in a flowing white robe. As The Lord danced down toward the Bride I saw the barrier between Heaven and Earth bending under His feet toward her.

The dancing Bride reached out to her dancing Lord, drawing Him closer, bending the barrier further – until the barrier between Heaven and Earth was bent around the two dancers in an “S” curve. At that time I didn’t know that white is the traditional color of Korean clothing. I didn’t know then about the traditional robes with long, flowing sleeves. I did recognize the “s” curve division from the symbol on the Korean flag. I didn’t understand at the time all the meaning of this vision, but I knew that it meant that Jesus was going to come and visit this land.

Before we came to Korea we were serving as intercessory missionaries in a House of Prayer in Canada. The last year we were there I led a twice weekly intercessory meeting for oppressed people groups. The Holy Spirit quickly focused the group prayer around breaking the spirit of Anti‐Christ in the earth. God highlighted Yasser Arafat and Kim Jong‐Il. We spent six months praying for the oppressed Palestinians and North Koreans. We prayed for the people, we prayed for the Christians under persecution, we prayed for the land, and the economies; and we prayed that God would bring the oppressive regimes down. Near the end of that series of meetings, the announcement came out in the news that Yassir Arafat had died. Shortly after this, we were suddenly sent out of Canada, and were invited to live and work here in Korea.

Two Sticks, Two Brothers

While we were still in Canada God spoke to me from Ezekiel 37: 16 “Son of man, take a stick of wood and write on it, ‘Belonging to Judah and the Israelites associated with him.’ Then take another stick of wood, and write on it, ‘Ephraim’s stick, belonging to Joseph and all the house of Israel associated with him. 17 Join them together into one stick so that they will become one in your hand. 18 “When your countrymen ask you, ‘Won’t you tell us what you mean by this?’ 19 say to them, ‘This is what the Sovereign LORD says: I am going to take the stick of Joseph — which is in Ephraim’s hand — and of the Israelite tribes associated with him, and join it to Judah’s stick, making them a single stick of wood, and they will become one in my hand.”

God is telling me that He is going to make the brothers ONE in His hand! God is telling us that He is going to re‐join North and South Korea. He’s going to heal the land, and He’s going to make the Korean people one again! This will be a wonder and a prophetic sign to the nations of the world: God is going to make the brothers ONE! We have understood that this scripture pertains specifically to the reunification of the tribes of Israel, and prophetically to the eventual joining of the gentile church with Israel, and this is true – but God is going to start this work in Korea!

Making the brothers ONE in Korea will be the beginning – from Korea He will cause this work to flow all over the world. He’s going to make the believing Protestants ONE, He’s going to make the believing Catholics ONE with the believing Protestants, He’s going to make the church ONE across national barriers, racial barriers, denominational barriers, and social and economic barriers. The power of this work will culminate in making ALL God’s people ONE – coming to completion in the unification of the Church and Israel! …And the world will know that we are God’s people by our love. God is going to make us ONE!

I have heard God saying that this unprecedented move starting in little Korea will be the catalyst for the ushering in of the Great Worldwide End‐time Revival. The power of the brothers becoming ONE will make all believers ONE staff in God’s hand; and He will begin to pour out His Spirit upon all flesh. In this worldwide move we will see all that we have dreamed of and more… stadiums will be filled with worshippers… hospitals will be cleared out with healing grace… we will see every people group in the world reached with the gospel; with power, and signs and wonders! Before this happens, we need the worldwide network of Houses of Prayer in place for equipping on this massive scale, for staging the gargantuan effort of mobilization, and for cities of refuge as the end‐times move forward.

This makes God’s planned destiny for little Korea so special, so important, and so unique among the peoples of the earth. God will make the Korean brothers ONE, and He will begin to pour out His Spirit here. From Korea will flow an on‐fire, united people that will spread this move of God to every corner of the globe. God’s plan for Korea is key to His plan for the end‐time outpouring.

A Blueprint in a Dream

In 2003, my friend Joe had a series of dreams. It was a single dream that was repeated

every night for twelve weeks, each night revealing a little more to Joe. Joe saw a long and narrow land bounded by the ocean and mountains. The land was divided with a line into North and South, and covered with dry bones. In the dream Joe began to cry because the land was divided and desolate.

He turned to the north, and saw a group of old women dressed in tattered clothes, who were dancing with brass feet. Then he turned to the south and saw men arise. He called them “men of stature” because they were dressed in dark suits, and were taller than the women to the north.

He turned to the East, and saw a group of children with staffs in their hands. Some of the staffs were half dark wood and half light wood, some all one wood, and some were made of gold; they all looked like they had writing carved on them. Joe then turned to the West and saw families standing together – they looked as though they had been reunited ‐‐ they were glowing in a brilliant light, and they were extremely happy.

Joe’s dream is about Korea – it’s about God’s plan to make Korea ONE. Joe had this series of dreams seven years ago. The time is at hand for its fulfillment. The land is divided. The bones of the starving and persecuted are piling up. God must come. He will come.

The women with brass feet show us a picture of the free‐market sellers in the north who have tasted a bit of freedom. Most are women, and many may be Christians disenfranchised from official systems. This is the first step in God’s plan for reunification. God has given them brass feet, speaking of judgment, so that they can tread on the head of the serpent that holds the North in bondage.

To help them God has risen up men in the South. Men in suits; I see that they are pastors of churches, and leaders of ministries. These “men of stature” are raised up in order to help the women with brass feet; eventually to help all of the North Korean people once they have been released from their bondage. God is not planning a governmental solution here – He’s calling the church to arise in stature and take up the role that He has ordained for us in this end‐time plan.

The next step in God’s plan for reunification of the brothers is to raise up children and youth who will stand in the east for their divided country. They will receive spiritual authority and stand for their people with fervent hearts and passionate prayer. God loves the hearts of youth. When the  youth turn their hearts toward God and His purposes with abandonment, this, in turn, ignites the heart of God. Further, the nation will go from a divided staff of dark and light woods, to a unified staff made of one wood, to a glorified staff of pure gold. God will wield this nation as one staff in His hand; a staff of glory and authority as He moves among the nations of the world.

The last step in this progression is the reuniting of the families. This will be a glorious thing in the earth! As the families come together, this miracle will release a supernatural light upon them. They will be filled with joy, with the light of God, and with the power of the Holy Spirit. They will stand with each other by the sea and among the mountains while the whole nation fills with the light of God’s Glory!

Jesus is the Reconciler

This year I and my prayer group here in Korea have been praying Ephesians 2 over North and South Korea:
“14For he himself is our peace, who has made the two one and has destroyed the barrier,
the dividing wall of hostility, 15by abolishing in his flesh the law with its commandments
and regulations. His purpose was to create in himself one new man out of the two, thus
making peace, 16and in this one body to reconcile both of them to God through the cross,
by which he put to death their hostility.”

Jesus Himself is the peace that we have been looking for between the North and the South. The really spectacular truth here is that He already has destroyed the dividing wall of hostility by His death on the cross. We simply must stand with Him in this truth, proclaiming His victory as He has already put to death all of the hostility between all of the brothers; He has already made us ONE in HIM! The North Koreans will be brought to spiritual salvation in the midst of their miracle of physical deliverance from bondage!

Would you pray through this word and agree with us who are standing for this unprecedented move of God here in Korea? God’s people here in South Korea stand at a unique juncture in time. They stand chosen, and privileged to walk out the beginning of the most exciting move of God ever to touch the earth. Men and Women of God must be equipped to stand and see the Glory of God come down in this time. The children and youth must be activated to stand in intercession, taking up the staff of their spiritual authority. We must pray that the women in the North have the strength and boldness to put the power of the enemy under their feet; that the Men of Stature rise up in the South in order to help and provision this move of God; that the youth will rise up and take up their staff; that the families will come together, reunited, and be filled with the Glory
of the Lord – taking it to the ends of the earth. I hear God saying that when this happens, it will happen quickly it may all happen in 12 weeks’ time – we all must be ready to stand up and pray, then reach out and do our parts!

  1. Scott, This is a fabulous vision and word from the Lord. We had fellowship with a church of South Korean young adults during a time of spiritual renewal in the 90s, so my heart can see the passionate youth that you describe. The faces in the photo above actually look familiar. As the US Navy surrounds N Korea this week, I understand it is one more step in the shaking that will result in the glorious healing that you know will come. Thank you for sharing this. God bless you, your family, and the church who believe with you in God’s promised deliverance.
