Pray for the North Korean Underground Church!

DMZ4Pray for the underground Christians in North Korea! They need our prayers at this critical time.
The following is a post from the The U.S. Reformation Prayer Network. I thought it was very good, and aligning completely with what we’ve been praying for North Korea.

North Korean Church Leaders Ask For Prayer Amid War Preparations

“The verbal threats from North Korea over the last several weeks, aimed at South Korea and the United States, become increasingly closer to action as a frenzy of military activity has been taking place this week.  The United States has been moving defenses into place, and according to sources inside North Korea, the atmosphere there is one of preparing for war.
‘We are to meet the decisive battle with a gun in one hand and a hammer in the other,’ summarized a Christian leader about the message the North Korean people recently received from the ‘high command.’ (Open Doors)
Christian leaders from the underground church in North Korea are asking for our prayers.  Many cars on the roads are covered with camouflage nets, and soldiers are wearing camouflage hats, guns ready.  People are rushing to by emergency supplies and food, causing prices to skyrocket.
Jerry Dykstra, a spokesman for Open Doors USA, adds: ‘Beneath the surface of all the rhetoric of war and the possible launch of nuclear missiles is the suffering and persecution of the estimated 200,000 to 400,000 Christians in North Korea. Also, an estimated 60,000 to 80,000 Christians are in harsh political prison camps.’ The government has been the No. 1 persecutor of Christians for 11 years in a row, according to the Open Doors 2013 World Watch List.
In addition to the concerns for the North Korean church, one of our trusted intercessors also contacted us today with a tremendous urgency in her spirit that Hawaii and Guam need our prayers.  The threat to them from North Korea cannot be ignored or taken lightly.
For additional information, see this article from CNN with the most current developments and standing of the situation as of Thursday evening.

Please Pray:

1. Pray that the demonic stronghold driving North Korea’s leadership and advisors would be toppled once and for all. (Ephesians 6:12)
2. Pray that the Lord would supernaturally send relief and protection for North Korean Christians. (2 Thessalonians 3:3)
3. Pray for US and South Korean government leaders to have wisdom and discernment for how to speak and act in this hour. (Proverbs 2:6)
4. Pray for a protective covering over Hawaii and Guam, that no disaster would come near them and no harm would befall them. (Psalm 91)
5. Pray that China would not back North Korea and fuel them forward in their animosity; pray against an unholy alliance being formed. (Psalm 2)”
