The Parable of the Great Ship – a prophetic word for America 2012

We were praying together in my living room about the coming election. We felt that the United States is being weighed in the balance, and that the result of this election will make or break the fulfillment of God’s righteous call on this nation.

While we were in prayer I saw a great ship – its builders had crafted it for a specific purpose. I saw it as a symbol of the liberal agenda that has grown so large and powerful in the U.S. I saw the ship sailing into a huge storm, and it was tossed and torn by the wind and waves of the huge and terrible storm. I prayed that God would have His way, and overturn the ship and the ambitions of its builders.

As soon as I prayed this out, I was prompted to turn to the Psalms. My Bible flipped open to Psalm 107, and I began to read from verse 23:

    “Some went out on the sea in ships;
they were merchants on the mighty waters.”

I was shocked, as though by a bolt of electricity, to immediately read of the ship in my vision. I saw that the architects of the political agenda in America are like those that go to sea in ships. Merchants sailing around the world, plying their trade in multi-national deals – that’s a striking picture of America! The scripture goes on:

“24 They saw the works of the Lord,
his wonderful deeds in the deep.
25 For he (God) spoke and stirred up a tempest
that lifted high the waves.”

This is the very same picture that I saw in my vision! I realized then that God had more to say – and that it is important! I began to read the scripture out loud to the group of us gathered in prayer, and we started to pray and proclaim this word that God was giving us:+

“26 They mounted up to the heavens and went down to the depths;
in their peril their courage melted away.”

We agree with your word God – You have allowed the political agenda in the U.S. to launch like a great ship launching into the sea. You have allowed these plans — the plans of the enemy — to be built out, and You have allowed them to launch out in pride and arrogance, convinced that their evil plans cannot fail. But You, God, are the God of the storm: You, Oh God clothe Yourself in the storm clouds as You ride out against Your enemies – You are Lord of the storm; You are Lord of the waves; You are Lord of the lightning as You unleash it from Your sheath.

“27 They reeled and staggered like drunkards;
they were at their wits’ end.”

Yes God – send Your storm: cause the architects of the political agenda in America to reel in their distress. Cause them to stagger like drunkards as You bring them to their wits’ end.

At this point someone in the group began to express concern over the storm imagery that God was using. They felt that it wasn’t God that brought the storm over the Eastern Seaboard, and that we shouldn’t be agreeing with it. I hadn’t made any connection to the actual storm, but suddenly I saw the whole thing clearly: the death and destruction that was brought by Hurricane Sandy at this momentous hour is just a physical manifestation of the death and destruction that has been wreaked all over the United States in the past few years. God has infinite mercy for the people of America: that’s the very reason He is bringing the destruction to the fore, and leading the structures of pride and deception into this “perfect storm” – a storm that we can’t see.

But God’s message to us at this critical time doesn’t end there. There is hope in His plan – He does everything out of love; for hope, for healing and for our wholeness.

“28 Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble,
and he brought them out of their distress.”

I believe that God is leading the architects of the current political system in America into a storm of serious trouble, along with the liberal leadership, and He is doing this in order to give them an unprecedented opportunity to repent of the evil that they have devised and foisted on the American people. He is opening up a storm of peril that is actually a portal of opportunity to face the results of their plans, to see the calamity that they have brought about, and to call out to God for help and deliverance. Yes Lord, bring them to their knees!

“29 He stilled the storm to a whisper;
the waves of the sea were hushed.”

God says that it is not too late: If God’s people will cry out to Him, He will hear. If these people who have been deceived and manipulated into implementing plans of evil against the U.S., if they will “Cry out to the Lord in their trouble” He will hear their cry and bring them out of their distress.

“30 They were glad when it grew calm,
and he guided them to their desired haven.
31 Let them give thanks to the Lord for his unfailing love
and his wonderful deeds for mankind.”

Yes, God – let them give thanks to You! Turn their hearts in this calamity, pull the blinders from their eyes, and cause them to give You praise for delivering them from their dire difficulty!

“32 Let them exalt Him in the assembly of the people
and praise Him in the council of the elders.”

We pray that You will deliver America from her distress, Oh God – that You will use the storm to bring liberal and conservative lawmakers alike to their knees. Cause them to cry out to You, and answer their cry! Deliver us from this peril, Oh God – and cause Hillary Clinton to praise You before the nations – cause Nancy Pelosi to praise You before the Congress – cause Barak Obama to praise You before the Joint Chiefs! I pray that You will bring down the agenda of Your enemies, Oh God, and deliver the United States into peace and safety under a new order of leadership. AMEN!

    PS: I just realized that “the ship” is their ark: an elaborate plan to escape the economic collapse — that will soon be shipwrecked by the hand of God!

  2. This is excellent. You can’t go wrong when you pray the scriptures. Amen and amen – joining in agreement!
