Cities of Refuge, the House of Prayer and Fiji

God has promised that He will establish communities as “cities of refuge” in times of difficulty. The promise of these “communities of mercy” is that they will be spiritual and natural havens of blessing for God’s people, like Goshen during the days of Joseph (Gen. 47:27). The people of God experienced growth and multiplication from the Lord on all they possessed while they lived in Goshen; their land was called “the best” in all of Egypt (Gen. 47:6). These set-aside refuges flow with the abundance of the Lord and are fruitfully blessed in all manners of life (Ps. 65:9-13). These communities of mercy become places where crops flourish, businesses thrive, families work together in joy, and individuals live with divine purpose.

Right now God is moving the hearts of many to come together to establish these pockets of mercy that serve as a blessed dwelling place for people in times of trouble, and a resting place for the Lord (Ps. 132:5). We are some of these individuals, companies, and families who are writing out blueprints from God, and beginning to establish these places of blessing in accordance with Psalm 107:35, which says, “He [the Lord] turns a wilderness into pools of water, and dry land into water springs . . . that they may establish a city for a dwelling place, and sow fields and plant vineyards, that they may yield a fruitful harvest. He also blesses them and they greatly multiply.”

This concept of the House of Prayer as a community of refuge is key to what we’re doing in establishing Ring of Fire House of Prayer Centers. We continue to press forward, praying and waiting, working and writing, planning and pushing for the establishment of God’s House of Prayer around the Ring of Fire. Our plans to establish the first planting in Fiji continue to bulldoze forward as spiritual ground is being turned and things come into place for us to begin the physical planting of the first of the centers envisioned.

Scott will be leaving for Fiji on July 12th; please keep him in prayer as he goes for one month this time to meet with the Fiji team, tribal leaders, pastors and the Prime Minister’s office once again.

Dionne is hoping to meet Scott in Fiji on July 28th at the end of her semester, but with the various expenses associated with this new venture we, in our own financial strength, cannot see how we will be able to send her. We both feel, however, that it is very important that we are both to be in Fiji to continue to build important relational foundations, for some very strategic meetings and specific breakthrough that God has planned.

 Please Pray:
– For safety as we go
– That Dionne will be able to go too!
– That God will continue paving the way for the establishment of cities of refuge around the world, specifically the Ring of Fire House of Prayer Centers, coming to reality in Fiji.
