The End-Time People

This word is very exciting. It’s about the end-time overcomers that we see in glimpses throughout the final dramatic scenes in the book of Revelations. I never realized, before I received this word that these people that we see featured in brief moments are the same company of overcoming saints being infilled, purified and standing in glory through the end of days.

To explain the excerpt here: a dear friend, one of the leaders in the community here in Bundang, wrote me about a vision and prophetic word that I had given during the previous Sunday night’s gathering. I write back to explain more about it. But it’s interesting — you can see from what he says here that he is gifted to grab hold of the word of God, and to take steps to make it concrete in people’s lives. That is so incredible. Someone with a gifting like mine needs to walk alongside a brother like this. My gifting is to hear and see, and most of the time I am so dazzled and overwhelmed by the Word as God gives it, that I need brothers walking as part of the process who are dedicated to trying to understand it and steward it well. Of course, there is a lot of room for tension in a relationship like this, but the working together of the giftings is necessary — and it takes love to make it work. A heart like Todd’s is an excellent example.

  • From Sunday Night

Hello my friend, Scott-

I hope that your week is going well. I was just thinking about Sunday night and realized that I probably failed to support the word of encouragement that you shared from Revelations. It wasn’t clear to me what our response should be. If you have time, please can you remind me what you shared, I want to give it proper consideration and perhaps we can revisit it this Sunday night. Please forgive my failure with that.

In short, I was believing that Jesus was wanting to empower his people more fully with the Holy Spirit on this past Sunday night. Hence, my thoughts were that allowing people to receive gifts of His presence would lead to us into fulfilling the exhortation that you shared. Being filled with the Holy Spirit and learning to follow the Spirit’s leading as individuals and as a community of believers, we do become His new people in the earth who do sing the new song, who learn to embrace his love, will, and reveal his glory and honor on the Earth.

But, I’m feeling that there was something that I missed from your exhortation. The Holy Spirit is reminding me of the word you shared. There is something in what you shared that the Holy Spirit doesn’t want me/us to forget.

As iron sharpens iron so does one man sharpen another. I need you Scott to become a sharper and sharper sword in the Lord’s/Spirit’s hand.

I look forward to your response.
Have a great Wednesday!

Todd

Hey Todd-

I think that Sunday night went just fine. From my point of view everything dovetailed beautifully — to the point where I knew that you needed to share after me, and I knew what you were to say. You said it very well.

Maybe we’re just learning how to minister with one another in a deeper and more profound way. Sunday night was an example of where we all had to follow the Holy Spirit very closely, and we did!
The big part of what I received that I need to keep hold of, and I’ve been meditating on it since, is the fact that that scene in Revelations on top of the mountain is not the moment that Jesus comes back in power to establish His Kingdom. I always thought it was. Or I always thought it was one of the descriptions of His second coming. I realized Sunday night that this scene is three chapters before His triumphant return!

This rocks my boat, as I realize that this scene represents the moment that Jesus returns in power in and through His people! Before my mother died she felt an urgency that she should convince me that Jesus was coming back in His people. She insisted that I was to be one of those people, and I needed to believe it! I told her that I could believe it, but that I didn’t find it in the Bible. Well, here it is! AND it all happens on top of Mount Zion — which links it to David’s tabernacle and the end-time establishment of the house of prayer.

The final element is the interesting and detailed description of this group of people — now I know I’m going to be one of them! When I was 20 or so, and Jesus was making big changes cleaning and changing me on the inside, He gave me the passage earlier where there is silence in heaven because God was sealing a people to Himself. He told me then, that’s what He was doing in me. Later, after I was married, He showed me the passage we’re talking about, and asked me if I wanted to learn the song that only these will know. I said yes. It’s a song that comes from a surrendered life; not just utter surrender, but a gift of allowing the Holy Spirit to work completely and sovereignly in and through us — like we did on Sunday night. I’m not completely there yet, but I’m learning the song!

I never knew, however, that the sealed ones and the ones singing the song were the same group of people. Yes, it does identify them as 144,000 — but I always tried to understand that in a figurative sense, and so I missed that these are the same group of people. But they are — I saw that Sunday night. I have since also looked to see if these people show up again, and they do — ruling with Christ during the millennium. THAT connects to what He’s been showing me about Namur, Belgium… and you’re one of the few people I could even begin to share all this with!

The message is not new, I’ve been saying it for some time. But I didn’t realize that it’s described so completely in the Book — this gives new shape and new force to what I already believed, and it puts a lot of pieces together for me. This is one of those important milestone words for me. Along with the fact that I saw in the vision that I was one of them — Jesus is going to come again in power through His people first, and it’s going to happen through me, and through the house of prayer. THEN three more chapters of end-time drama, THEN He’ll come in the clouds on a white horse and set up His rulership here. …and I’ll be part of that too! I believe it, even though I don’t see it; I believe it because He has shown it to me, and because it’s written in His word. AMEN!

This word may well be for you too! Let’s rule and reign together — by utter submission to the leadership of the Holy Spirit.

Bless you my friend.
Scott

Does this make sense to you? If not, study it out — if it does make sense… let’s rule and reign together!
