Pray for North Korea!

We are living in incredible times of great change and unrest in the world and yet, at the same time great potential and prophetic possibility. God is breaking in on the world stage as we pray as His representatives here on earth: “Your Kingdom come and Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven” (Matthew 6:10). In heaven there are no dictators; in heaven there is no division, there is neither suffering nor injustice.

Pray for North Korea is an online community dedicated to prayer and practical Kingdom efforts toward freedom for North Korea. It is an informed prayer journey accessing information, discovering God’s heart for this isolated and oppressed nation, and praying that God’s heart will be made manifest here in the Earth. The enemy of mankind has held this nation in bondage for over 60 years, and it is time to see freedom come to this land and its people. Not only does God want North Korea free — he wants the whole nation, both North and South, to be one nation in His hand.

We are so privileged to actually be living in South Korea at this time. Here we are standing on this soil, the very land of Korea, facing the North daily and proclaiming the word of the Lord over this land. Just a two hour drive North of Seoul is Pyongyang, the capital of North Korea; we are so very close to all that is brewing in the North and yet their isolation forces us to be so very far away. Except for small opportunities that arise from time to time, we are cut off from the ability to actually connect and do something to bring physical or spiritual relief to the people and the land. So the main thing we can do is pray, along with our over 300 members. Together we storm heaven with our prayers, “knock, knock, knocking on Heaven’s door” until the last iron curtain in the world opens wide, and every last one of North Korea’s citizens are free!

Periodically we post video or news clips, articles, and historical and cultural information about Korea to the community’s page so that our prayers can be informed and effective. We would encourage you to take advantage of this information, viewing the clips and reading the articles so that you are made more aware of the conditions and nature of North and South Korea. We also send out prayer initiatives so that we as a group will pray with one voice over specific concerns.

When praying for Korea we are aware that we are not only petitioning God, but we are listening for what God has to say about Korea and then declaring it in prayer. In this way our prayers become an agreement with the heart of Heaven so that the truth of these declarations then may be manifest on Earth as well. We encourage members of this prayer team to share with the group any insight or specific words that they receive so that the rest of us can join with them in what God is showing them for Korea. We are open to all.

We anticipate a great move of God in Korea and know that the time is short. North Koreans continue to endure great hardship. North Korean Christians continue to endure great persecution. North Korean children, whether of the privileged class or orphans, are trapped in a world of darkness and deception. Let God fill your heart with His heart and let that heart pour forth in intercession and love for these dear ones!
